Whitby is a town in the centre of the Durham Region with a population of 128,377 as recorded in 2016. The town is located in southern Ontario and is known as the commuter suburb in the Greater Toronto Area. Whitby is also connected to GO Transit from the Whitby GO station. GO Transit connects to Toronto’s Union Station within 53 minutes. Residents of Whitby can also drive to downtown Toronto within the same time.
